It is completely dark where a little frog lives, he thinks he is alone. He makes a sound and soon discovers there are other frogs around him, as they make themselves heard one by one.
This opens up a whole new world as they discover each other and realise they can climb out of the dark forbidding well.
This beginning of the story to see how frogs began to croak in the dark night time. This simple and easy followed story shows young readers that there are always others around them with whom they can connect
.The story is inspired by Chinese parables and First Nations stories, blending the two cultures of the author and illustrator inspiring readers to take a chance or have a go. Learning to use one's voice and join with others in your community to learn sing and dance together and going further by simply taking a chance and seeing what happens.
Both the story and the illustrations are positively delightful. We love the encouragement, to connect and find out more about others around you, opening up new opportunities.
