For Brooke Shields, approaching her 60th birthday, she shares some interesting and amusing incidents that she has experienced through the years. One of several highlights was a discussion when she was with a wine collector at an event in his home. While it was a somewhat confronting experience for her, it is also a rather amusing reaction by the wine collector.
It is easy for women to relate to these thoughts and reactions that Brooke Shields has experienced while offering some good words of advice, especially for younger generations. It would be helpful to be prepared for what lays ahead and to know what to expect, after all, forewarned is forearmed.
Clearly Shields is a loving, protective mum as she speaks in glowing terms of raising her daughters and a mix of confronting situations when out with them as younger teens. Although this is portrayed from her as a celebrity, it is likely that many women can relate.
However, some of these instances may not occur in the same time lines that Shields discusses. It is also worth remembering that not all women as they reach their forties are in the financial position she mentions.

This is easy reading, a frank account of the real ups and downs over the years in Shields' life, with humour and humility while weaving through research and looking at the facts that contribute to age related bias that can be annoying and demeaning for many especially in latter years.
