The introduction to Romeo Fortez is lovingly described as he is born in a red mangrove tree in the middle of a storm as his mother, a pygmie sloth holds him close to protect him from the elements.

The story begins when Romeo the Super Sloth has moved to New York City and he meets up with his nemesis Professor Ian Weird-Warp who just happens to be unhinged.

This book for independent readers aged 7 - 12 years tells a fun story that is sure to have those little fingers turning the pages quickly as they become engrossed in reading about this strange goings on and quirky catastrophes.

Romeo is quite the opposite of what we think a sloth is, he is tiny and he is a super sloth because of his super cuteness - as shown in the black and white illustrations, his speediness and his super strength.

Romeo and his four crime-fighting friends take on a shar-wolf in New York in this action packed thriller plus they have to deal with the Professor Ian Weird-Warp and his antics, death defying moments and several plots that link together. Together with his friends it is good to see what can be achieved when friends are working together.

Well written and easy to follo,  this creative and thrilling, fast paced story is sure to be good reading for the age group.
